Cut two pizzas into equal slices and colour some. Which pizza has more? When are two fractions equal?

Words to know

Fraction: A part of a whole, like 3/4.
Numerator: The top number: how many parts you have.
Denominator: The bottom number: how many equal parts the whole is cut into.
Equivalent fractions: Fractions that show the same amount, like 1/2 and 2/4.

Fold a sheet of paper in half, then in half again. Unfold it: 4 equal parts. Colour 2 of them. Now you have 2/4, which is the same as 1/2.
